Saturday morning and Dudley

I realized I hardly take pictures with my camera anymore, just sometimes with my phone. So I decided to have the camera more accessible. I followed the early riser kids around this morning.

CJ and Camille eat breakfast together almost every morning.

We headed outside into the wonderfully COOL weather. It felt so good out there. CJ loves balloons and enjoyed carrying this one around.

CJ loves to watch anyone jumping on the trampoline. Camille and her friend, Chole were providing plenty of entertainment for him.

Dudley! I can't believe I haven't put a post on here about Dudley. He is our newest family member and he's been living with us for a little over a month. He is a 17 month old lab that we adopted from a family that had rescued him. CJ and Dudley are big buddies (especially since they are the same age)!

Camille caught a butterfly!

Dudley is such a handsome boy!!

One of CJ's favorite outdoor activities is playing with the water hose.

He kept looking in the end of it waiting for the water to come out.

Then he decided to do the things he normally does with it (like filling up the urn) even though there was no water. It was just too cool to get wet (54 degrees!!).

It was amazing to watch the butterfly. It was unrolling its really long tounge and checking out the new environment. Camille mixed some sugar water for the butterfly and put it in a bowl, but then CJ (without us knowing) picked up the house, spilled the water and drowned the butterfly......oops. Sorry little butterfly.

Summer Shape Up

Our School Health Coordintator sponsored a program this summer called the Summer Shape Up program. Any employee in our school district could participate. We weighed in in May for the beginning. We had optional June and July weigh ins and had the final weigh in in August. The winner was decided by largest percentage of body fat lost.

I was the overall winner!!! I lost 14lbs and 5% body fat and so won the Vizio 37" flat screen TV. June and July also had prizes. I was in 1st in June and won an Ipod shuffle and then 2nd place in July and won a $50 Walmart gift card. It has certainly been exciting and fun to win prizes for all my hard work.

BUSY children

Camille (and now Katie) want to learn how to sew so I decided to start her out with cross stitching. We went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and bought several little kits. I showed her how to start, thread the needle, read the pattern, count the stitches, etc. I helped her with a couple of rows and then she just took off. She completed the project all by herself and even created the hat without a pattern. We're so impressed. She is about to begin her second kit as I write this.

As the fall rolls around and school is back in session, the kids are busy, busy. Clayton is playing football for the Jr. High and is doing great! Last week they played a Jamboree game and then their first game. Clayton is also starting back to baseball soon. Since he is 13 he is also getting into serious "hanging out" and recently had a boy/girl swim party.

Katie is continuuing with dance this year, but is adding in cheerleading camp, gymnastics and guitar lessons. The only thing that has started so far is the dance.

Camille is also continuuing dance this year, but is adding in piano lessons and soccer. Piano lessons start this week and soccer starts next month.

CJ is just busy being CJ and trust me, that is enough!!

Panama City Beach 2010 (Pop's pictures)

At the beginning of July, we went to Panama City Beach, FL for Clayton's World Series. Pops took these great pictures.

We tried to find the shade at each game.
