Father's Day

JJ and Pops were here for Father's Day and that was a nice treat.

These kids are so blessed to have Clark as their dad!! He is a wonderful father.

We fired up the new grill and had yummy hamburgers and hotdogs.

Gift time for Pops (Clark got his that morning).

A rare picture of me since I usually have the camera.

First time in the pool

This was CJ's first time in the pool. The water was finally warm enough to put him in. He was pretty funny. He was just kinda chill in the pool. Katie and Ellie enjoyed playing with him.

Trip to the zoo (with a heat index of 105 - brilliant!)

Aunt Feather is in town and we decided to go to the zoo. Yes, the heat index was 105, but there was a lot of shade. It was HOT!!

Camille loves the sea lion show and this is where she first decided (on another trip) that she might want to be a zoo animal trainer.

Camille had to get as close as she could.

We were content to be in the shade at the top.

After the sea lion show we went into the air conditioning for the polar bear feeding. You can watch them under water. Pretty fun!

I love this picture of the girls watching the sea lions (you can also see them underwater).

Time for snow balls.....

and a nap!

Katie took all the pictures of the animals and did a great job. A budding photographer??

Ostrich eggs.

My little busy bees. This was in the bee exhibit. We learned a lot about bees we didn't know.

In the bird exhibit you could purchase feeder sticks and the birds would land on the stick and eat the feed. Clayton and Katie weren't too interested, but Camille could have stayed in there all day.

More animal pictures by Katie.

As we were getting ready to leave we passed the wading pool and the kids were sooooooooooooooo hot. They decided to cool off in the pool.

Aunt Feather has been picking magnolia blooms every day from the several trees in our yard. I thought this was just beautiful and had to take a picture of it.

Family, Art Show 2 and Train ride

Katie and Camille have been in Jackson (MS). Katie spent a week with her cousins and then has been with JJ and Pops and then Camille went to art camp at my old high school. I thought it would be fun for the girls to ride the train so CJ and I hopped on the train in Memphis Thursday and rode down to get the girls.

We went to JJ and Pops new beautiful home and Aunt Cindy came to visit.

Then we went to see BeBe (Clark's Grandmother).

We ate dinner with JJ, Pops, and Gamie and then Camille, CJ and I went over to Dad and Alice's to visit with them and see my Aunt Linda and Uncle Mack who were passing through.

Camille loving on Uncle Mack.

Grandpaw getting some love. Katie decided to "paint" Camille with highlighters so she has a colored ear and "hairy" armpits. Silly girls.

Friday was Camille's (second) art show. Oma was able to come so that was great to see her. (JJ and Ali came too).

This is a really cool (no pun intended) piece. The popsicle and lime are attached to the base so it is a multi-dimensional piece.
