Gary Duffey

Clark's friend, Gary Duffey, was in town this weekend. Gary is into finding artifacts and has found some very interesting historic items. He took the kids digging in our yard. We found some things like an OLD metal toy solider, a make up lid and a belt buckle. The kids had a great time.

Gary is a song writer in Nashville and brought his guitar this weekend. He sat with Katie and showed her a few chords. Gary also sang for our Sunday School class.

Baptism

Several months ago Camille decided she wanted to be baptized in our church in Brownsville so she did that today. This picture is terrible, but it was a special moment.

Back to School swim party

Camille had a back to school swim party Saturday. She invited her class and some friends that aren't in her class this year. They had a lot of fun.

3 sweet boys showed up (Preston was there yet when I took this picture).

Camille wanted homemade ice cream and watermelon, but we couldn't find any watermelons so I just made chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Yummy!!

Another zoo trip

We met my friend Mandy and her children Sarah Grace, Madison and Charlie at the zoo. We had a great time. Katie and Sarah Grace are the same age and Camille and Madison are the same age so they like hanging out together.

Don't you like Katie's "it's too hot and we've been waiting too long for this show to start" face?

I LOVE CJ's face in this picture. He was definitely more observant on this zoo trip. He really enjoyed the penquins.

6 months old!!

CJ is 6 months old today. I can't believe it. I know I say that every month, but really, half a year? He has gotten two bottom teeth, rolls over like crazy and can almost sit unsupported. He's eating cereal and has started some vegetables this week. Based on my home weighing method (hold him and weigh and then put him down and weigh) he is about 20lbs. He has his 6 month check-up and shots next week.

You can see in this picture how good he is getting at sitting up. Click here to see his 5 month pictures. He's starting to fill out!!

1st day of school/daycare

Today was the first day of school for the older kids and the first day of daycare for CJ. It is also the first day at new schools for Clayton and me. Clayton is now is 7th grade at the Jr. High, Katie is in 4th grade at Eastside, and Camille is in 2nd grade at Haywood Elementary (which is where I now teach). CJ is going to the Methodist Church for daycare.

The last 2 years we haven't had Katie for the 1st day of school pictures, but we did this year. Clayton, however, was at his mom's this year. Click here to see last year's picture. It's funny, Camille has on the same outfit and Katie has on the same colors Clayton did.

The girls each wanted to take a picture. By the way, can you guess which one of my ferns has gotten too much water?

Zoo trip with the Chancellors

Mary and I are college friends and she lives in Memphis. Somehow, we haven't gotten together with the kids in the two years I've lived in Brownsville. We finally did today at the zoo. I think Camille still thinks we're at camp with her doo rag. Hannah and Buck are younger, but they had a great time.

CJ was much more alert for this zoo trip than he was for the last one.

Camille was too busy taking pictures with her own camera to turn around.
