Beautiful Dresses

Mom won't toot her own horn so I'm going to do it for her. I love these two dresses she made for Camille. The blue dress has the matching coat and the lace collar on it was one that Heather and I both wore when we were growing up. These pictures, as usual, are self posed. Camille is such a ham! She was directing me on how to take the picture. I hope the holiday season is going well for everyone.

Rockstar and Thanksgiving

We have a new addition to our family - Rockstar. She is our new 5-week old puppy and we LOVE her. Some friends in Brownsville had some puppies and once we saw them we couldn't turn them down. Here are some more pictures of her (http://mamiewnc.photosite.com/rockstar/).

On Thanksgiving Mom, Heather, Clark, Camille and I went to "the country" for Thanksgiving. There was much food, fun with cousins and even a hayride. Here are pictures (

That afternoon, Clark and I went to his parents for more Thanksgiving fun with family. I didn't have my camera because I left it with Aunt Feather and Gami to take pictures of the hayride, but Rockstar was the hit of the night.

On Friday Camille and I went to visit Rebecca, Lawrence, Mary Robinson and to meet baby Thomas. Somehow I didn't get a picture of Thomas, but I did get several cute ones of Camille and Mary Robinson.
That night Clark, Heather, Camille and I went to Dad and Alice's for another delicious Thanksgiving feast. On Saturday, Clark, Camille and I drove to Brownsville and picked up Clayton and Katie. We hung out at the hotel and went skating for a little while (too many wild and crazy teenagers ;-). It was Camille's first time to skate on real skates. Here are some more pictures from the weekend (http://mamiewnc.photosite.com/thanksgiving/).

Katie's 7th Birthday

Last weekend was Katie's 7th birthday. We picked up Katie and her friends from school in a Limo and took them all home. On Saturday she had a party at her house. She had a big blow-up sports obstacle course and a hayride. She also gave lots of rides in her new Disney Princess convertible. WE'RE ENGAGED!!

What an amazing weekend!! Clark borrowed a friend's limo for Katie's birthday (a post coming later) and we picked up several of Katie and Clayton's friends from school. After we dropped off the last kid I got in the limo and everyone (Clark, Clayton, Katie, Camille, JJ, and Pops) were acting weird and all the sudden they all popped the question! I was very surprised - Clark had me completely fooled and it was so awesome that it was with the kids. It is important to both of us that they be a big part of all this. We're very excited and are planning on gettin' hitched in June. Clark asked me in high school if I would marry him and I said "someday." I guess that someday is here. I had several requests for a picture of the ring so here it is. I LOVE it!!

Halloween

Trick or Treating was fun once again this year. Camille, Zoe, Katie, and Abby had a blast. It was quite a princess/fairy/anything really girly year as far as costumes.

Broadway Review

This is certainly not the best picture, but is it hard to catch a star is action. Clayton was in a Broadway Review this weekend. He did a terrific job as the Tin Man and as Simba. He even had several young ladies asking for his autograph. It was a great weekend. Click http://www.mamiewnc.photosite.com/broadwayreview to see more pictures from the weekend.

Hickory Nut Gap Farm

Today Camille and I went to Hickory Nut Gap Farm with people from church. We had a picnic by a stream, purchased apples from their orchard, walked through the corn maze, pet horses, looked at some BIG and little pigs, and played with the chickens. It was hilarious watching Camille chase them. She was so excited when she finally caught one.

Gatlinburg

Camille, Clark, and I were invited to spend the weekend with Dad, Alice, Uncle Mack, Aunt Linda, and Caryl at Mack and Linda's cabin in Gatlinburg.

Camille and I got there Thursday night to join everyone (except Clark). Friday we spent the day hanging out in and around the cabin while all the other adults went on a long hike (we knew Camille would be much more pleasant at home than on a 3 hour hike). On Friday night we had a surprise early birthday party for Alice and then Clark arrived later.

On Saturday we all went to Laurel Falls for a hike and then downtown to sightsee and visit the Craftsman Fair. There was plenty to be seen!! When we returned to the cabins the neighbors were anxiously waiting to show us pictures of the Momma bear and her 3 cubs that had been up on our porch.

We had a great time. Click here (

The Knoxville Zoo

Camille and I went to Knoxville Friday night and spent the night with Vaiden and Scott Taylor and their kids, Katie and Davis. It was Katie's first sleepover. Vaiden and I have been talking about taking the girls to the zoo for probably about 2 years and we finally did it Saturday. We had a great time.

The zoo had an elephant named Mamie who died about 5 weeks ago. Camille was thrilled to have her picture taken next to the elephant measure board bearing Mamie's name (as you'll be able to tell from her expression). Neither girls would look at the camera all day. I don't understand why we weren't more interesting than the animals.

My Blog

I wanted to create a space where I could post pictures and keep everyone updated on what's going on in my life. Camille and I are still loving living in Asheville.

Camille is 4 1/2 and is in her last year of Preschool. I can't believe she is going to Kindergarten next year. She is quite a character and greatly enjoys keeping us entertained.

I'm in my 6th year of teaching at Asheville Middle School, but am teaching a new reading program this year which has kept me VERY busy. For those of you who don't know it, I'm also dating Clark Converse, my high school sweetheart. We've been back together for 6 months and it is a wonderful thing!! His children are Clayton (9) and Katie (6).

I will be posting pictures on here as events happen in my life. I will send the link out when I post new pictures. Enjoy!!
